Starting back in 2005 as parents facing the challenges of raising young children with autism we were frustrated that there was actually very little content about autism on the internet. Our kids all had common autism co occurring medical conditions such as gastrointestinal issues, food allergies, sleep issues and seizures, yet search engines would would produce little or no information. We wanted to help and share information with those who cared about autism and other struggling parents like us who were seeking information and didn't have the resources to travel to autism conferences. We interviewed various medical professionals, researchers, congressman, special education atorneys and specialists in autism therapies and biomedical interventions. We started sharing our DVD's supporting documentation and content with legislators. This helped to educate, advance and pass autism insurance legislation in New York in 2006 and 2011. After a long break and being inactive on the web to focus on other important advocacy and our families FAIR is back and we hope to provide important and useful information to address the many challenges of autism and to give families hope.

We beleive autism is the number one public health crisis in the United States. The growth and cost of autism is leading to massive reductions in essential services. The news media is not reporting on the autism public health and financial crisis. We will continue to inform the public, policymakers and researchers until there is a genuine focus on the issue. We accept all people with autism and want them to live their best life. This will be hard to achive by ignoring the magnitude of the crisis, the medical needs of those affected and reality of waiting lists and declining services, due to the growth and autism financial crisis. We beleive it is important to make policymakers and health and educational professionals aware of the tsunami of basic service requirements that is upon them and that they will not be able to spend their way out of. We will continue to educate the public about emerging treatments, therapies and how people with autism can be more independent, healthy and employable. We will continue to feature stories of inspriation and hope.
